Why would anyone want to work for a temporary agency?

Temporary staffing offers caregivers many unique opportunities which cannot be experienced any other way.  These include:

·         100% flexibility in your job.  We will NEVER tell you that you have to work.  You tell us WHEN you want to work and we do our best to find work that fits your schedule.

·         Ability to travel.  Imagine a job that allows you to choose from hundreds of travel destinations throughout the US (the beaches of Florida, the fast pace life of New York City, the beauty of California) – where you can only work 3 days a week, earn a very nice weekly paycheck, have your housing completely paid for, and complete travel reimbursement.  Well, it exists in temporary staffing.

·         Freedom from boredom.  As a temporary employee, you can experience dozens of new opportunities which you may have never even considered as a caregiver.  You get to choose the facilities you want to work at – and (more importantly for some) the facilities you do not want to work at.

·         Last must not least the pay!  The pay for RoyalCare employees is typically 30% - 50% higher than the hourly rate the staff make.

But, don’t let us convince you.  Read some of the testimonials from our current staff.

If I work for RoyalCare, will I be considered an independent contractor?

Absolutely not!  When you work for RoyalCare, you are 100% an employee.  Do not let the other agencies fool you – being an independent contractor can lead to many issues that may be less than desirable.

If you are an independent contractor, some agencies will not provide you with complete workers-comp and malpractice insurance.  If you were to get sued, your personal assets may be at stake if you are not covered under your agency's policy.  If you were to get hurt on the job, your agency may not compensate you for the time it takes for you to recover and/or the medical bills that may ensue from the accident. See our nurse safety link for more information. RoyalCare provides you with COMPLETE workers-comp and malpractice insurance -- at no extra cost to you...just one less thing you have to worry about.

If you are an independent contractor, taxes will not be removed from your paycheck - leaving you with the responsibility of sending quarterly payments to the federal, state, and local government.  If you do not file quarterly, you will be fined.  At RoyalCare, we provide full payroll service so you do not have to worry about sending quarterly payments to the government and paying late fees...that's another thing you do not have to worry about.

Are there any downsides to temporary staffing?

Well, not many.  However, due to the fact that you set your own schedule, we expect you to always show up for the shifts you request to work.  When an employee of RoyalCare cancels a scheduled shift, it greatly affects the ability of our contracted facility to provide quality care to their patients.

Our facilities depend on us to deliver high-quality and dependable service to meet their staffing needs.  For this service, they pay a premium and expect a high level of dependable professional care. If you have a history of calling-off, then RoyalCare is definitely not for you!
